IELTS Advanced
You will develop the academic English language skills you need to achieve '7.0 overall with no sub-scores less than 7.0' in the IELTS Academic English language test.
You will:
- improve your communicative competence in reading, writing, speaking, and listening
- practice the test-taking situation appropriate to the IELTS Academic module
- learn about a range of skills and genres you will need to know in order to be successful in when taking the IELTS Academic Module exam
- learn to communicate fluently, producing extended sequences of spoken discourse appropriate to both the speaking module in the IELTS Academic Module test and tertiary and social environments.
QUT College community will also offer you valuable opportunities, such as the activities club, which will help you meet new friends and broaden your Australian learning experience. You will also be able to access a broad range of additional learning support.

PSW Opportunity
Post Study Work Steam Renames to Post Higher Education Work Steam.
- Bachelor degree holders including honours can get upto 2 years of post study stay
- Master by course work and extended (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 2 years
- Masters by research (with a duration exceeding 2 years) and PhD holder can stay upto 3 years
- The Maximum eligible age to apply for PSW will be reduced to 35 years of age from 50 years of age for all applicants
Due to the Australian Indian Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement signed by the 2 countries, according to which:
- Indian students completing bachelor degree including honours can stay upto 2 years
- Bachelor degree with First class honours in STEM including ICT can stay upto 3 years
- Masters by coursework in extended researched (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 3 years
- PhD students can stay upto 4 years
