Animal Biosciences (BS)

Integrate and apply knowledge of animal sciences with biology, chemistry and math, in and across the core areas of animal science such as physiology, nutrition, genetics, health, behavior and environmental management.
Think critically; use quantitative reasoning, skeptical inquiry and the scientific approach to solve problems in the animal biosciences, in preparation for post-graduate education in the animal biosciences.
Effectively communicate animal science issues and perspectives orally and through writing.
Demonstrate advanced knowledge of major scientific concepts, social, economic and ethical implications in the animal biosciences.
Work collaboratively and independently, learning from diverse perspectives to assimilate knowledge and synthesize new solutions and ways of thinking about challenges and issues in the animal biosciences.

PSW Opportunity

Post-Study Work visa or permit, allowing international students on F-1 visas to work in the US after completing their studies, typically through Optional Practical Training (OPT).

Eligibility:
To be eligible for OPT, students must have been enrolled full-time in a US educational institution for at least one academic year and be seeking work related to their major.

Duration:
Students can apply for up to 12 months of OPT, either before they finish their studies (pre-completion) or after graduation (post-completion).

STEM OPT:
Students in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields can apply for an extended OPT period of up to 24 months.
