Nursing - PgDip
The Master of Science (MSc) in Nursing is a challenging post graduate qualification for nurses, midwives or health visitors from all fields of practice. This course will assist qualified staff to develop personally and professionally in a wide range of topics and issues including communication, health promotion, leadership, person-centred practice and research.
In the full-time mode, the MSc Nursing (general pathway) it is typically completed over one calendar year.

This is particularly useful for nurses who wish to develop their careers and strive for promotion, particularly those aspiring to higher roles in research, leadership and education.

Work placement / study abroad
MSc Nursing (general pathway): students undertaking this course are full time students. No work placement or study abroad is required for this option.
PSW Opportunity
- 2 Years PSW is applicable after completing a minimum duration of 9 months course (like- Undergraduate, Postgraduate Level)
- 3 Years PSW is applicable after completing PhD level courses.
Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible to apply for a postgraduate degree course, you must provide evidence of competence in written and spoken English (GCSE grades A-C or equivalent); AND hold an Honours degree (2:2 or above) from a UK or Republic of Ireland or from the Council for National Academic Awards, the National Council for Educational Awards, the Higher Education and Training Awards Council, or from another institution which has been recognised by the Senate for this purpose.
Usually the minimum English language entry requirement is IELTS (academic) of 6.5 (with no band score of less than 6.0).
