Climate change, sustainability, wildlife protection, and environmental pollution are some of the vital topics to understand if we are to preserve and continue our life on Earth. With a Wildlife Ecology and Conservation Science degree from Canterbury Christ Church University, you’ll gain the knowledge and practical skills needed to help save our planet.
With a huge emphasis on laboratory skills and fieldwork, this BSc ecology and conservation degree is a practice-based course, aimed to prepare you for a range of areas after graduation. Gain vital experience throughout your course – you’ll have the opportunity to undergo fieldwork locally, nationally, and abroad. Previous trips include India and Iceland, with more international destinations available in the next academic year.
Work alongside lecturers who are all heavily involved in active research. You may be able to get involved with current research, as well as undertaking your own research in your final year. Our academics are eager to work with our conservation students and are currently working with the likes of Princeton University and Kent Wildlife Trust.
What’s more, you’ll work in our state-of-the-art Verena Holmes building. Using industry standard equipment and facilities from week one, you’ll gain the confidence needed in the lab using kit that’s used in the professional world.

- 2 Years PSW is applicable after completing a minimum duration of 9 months course (like- Undergraduate, Postgraduate Level)
- 3 Years PSW is applicable after completing PhD level courses.
Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
FOR INDIA
- Successful completion of standard 12 th with 60% average and one further year of study.
FOR BANGLADESH
- Polytechnic Diploma (BTEB) with a final grade of at least 65%
- Bachelor of Arts, Science or Commerce (Pass) awarded after 3 years of study with a minimum final grade of at least 60% or a GPA of 3.0/4.0
FOR PAKISTAN
- Intermediate Certificate/Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) - Students from Pakistan having completed school level education only will be expected to take IFC or IFY pathways as appropriate
- 2-year Bachelor of Arts/Science/Commerce (Pass) from an HEC accredited institution with a minimum final grade of at least 60%/First Class
- 3-year Bachelor of Arts/Science/Commerce (Honours) from an HEC accredited institution with a minimum final grade of at least 60%/First Class
- Bachelor of Technology (Pass) from an HEC accredited institution with a minimum final grade of at least 60%/First Class.
FOR NEPAL
For entry into Year 1 of Bachelor's degrees (Level 4), you will typically need to have one of the following:
- a recognised International Foundation course from a UK institution following a validated UK syllabus. Entry requirements vary but we normally ask for between 60% and 65%<
- British Board A Levels or IB Diploma.
