Graduate Certificate of Data Engineering
The rapid expansion of the digital environment has increased the opportunity for data-driven innovation. Data engineers build computing pipelines that transform data into formats that tools and data analysts can use. Data engineers work in a wide range of professional settings, from public health to national security, from education to consumer and business services.
The Graduate Certificate of Data Engineering comprises the equivalent of 0.5 years of full-time study. The program is taught in person. In addition to semester based teaching, the courses are offered with intensive teaching. This comprises 4 weeks online, 1 week intensive teaching on campus, and a further 4 weeks online. The curriculum has been designed with every expectation that students attend the one week intensive teaching on campus.
This program is available to Domestic students only, and so it has no CRICOS code. The program is taught in semester mode and also offered in intensive blended mode. Students studying in intensive blended mode are expected to be enrolled part-time. The intensive blended course delivery mode is designed to suit working students who take leave from work (or other commitments) to attend an intensive 1 week of full time learning on campus in the middle of the course, and study remotely for the rest of the course. The intensive blended course delivery mode comprises: 4 weeks of online study, 1 full time week of face to face learning on campus, followed by a further 4 weeks of online study.
