Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling - Clinical Mental Health Counseling Option, M.S

The M.S. in Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling is a 60-unit accredited program that prepares culturally competent counselors using evidence-based and emerging best practices in an ethical manner while adhering to the Code of Professional Ethics and Scope of Practice for the profession. Students have two options: Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling and Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Students have the ability to pursue certification as a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor and National Certified Counselor, as well as meet the eligibility requirements for Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor credential. The program has earned top rankings in the nation by U.S. News and World Report, and is a national leader in hands-on, real-world rehabilitation in California and beyond.

PSW Opportunity

Post-Study Work visa or permit, allowing international students on F-1 visas to work in the US after completing their studies, typically through Optional Practical Training (OPT).

Eligibility:
To be eligible for OPT, students must have been enrolled full-time in a US educational institution for at least one academic year and be seeking work related to their major.

Duration:
Students can apply for up to 12 months of OPT, either before they finish their studies (pre-completion) or after graduation (post-completion).

STEM OPT:
Students in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields can apply for an extended OPT period of up to 24 months.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

  • All university marksheets, transcripts and *degree certificate with literal English translation. Secondary school (high school) documentations are not required.  
    *Degree certificate (or diploma) is available at the time of applying for admission.
