AGE REQUIREMENTS
At least 14 years old

ACADEMIC REQUIREMENT
Completed Secondary 2 of secondary school education or equivalent; or
Completed Year 8 of High School Education or equivalent
ENGLISH LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
All potential students are required to sit for AGI’s English Proficiency Test (EPT) to ascertain their proficiency levels before admittance into any of these Certificate in English courses.

Students who are in their country of origin are required to sit for 2 EPTs.  Students who have taken the EPT at the Recruitment Agent’s Office in their country of origin will need to take a second EPT which will be conducted at Amity’s premises.  Only the latter test will determine the final level of English that the students qualify for.

Students who scored 80 and above in the EPT will be admitted to Certificate in English: Upper Intermediate 

• The International Students studying in certain institutions in Singapore are allowed to work part time for 16 hours per week as mentioned on the Ministry of Manpower website of Singapore.
• Students who have studied in the institutions mentioned on the Ministry of Manpower website of Singapore are allowed to apply for a Long Term Visitor Pass.
• They are allowed to look for a job during this time period.This is for 12 months.If the students get a job during this time period, the employer may sponsor for an Employment pass.

Korea: Year 2 of Middle School, or equivalent
Vietnam: 8th Grade of Middle School, or equivalent
Thailand: Lower Secondary Mattayom 2, or equivalent
ENGLISH LANGUAGE REQUIREMENT
All potential students seeking module exemptions are required to sit for AGI’s English Placement Test – English for Academic Purposes (EPT-EAP) to ascertain their English proficiency.
