Certificate in Quantitative Finance
The Certificate in Quantitative Finance allows students to develop a skill set and deep knowledge in mathematics, computer science, probability, statistics, and the applications of these disciplines to finance.
Finance has seen a paradigm shift towards quantitative method, big data, and computer-based technology in recent years. These changes have been dramatic and fast, which result in a great demand for finance professionals with a background in quantitative finance. These individuals are often referred to as quantitative analysts, or simply "quants" in the financial world. Because of the challenging nature of the work, which needs to blend mathematics, finance, and programming skills effectively, quant analysts can command relatively high salaries. The certificate seeks to provide the latest financial methodologies and techniques so that students can succeed in the fast-changing finance profession.
