Curriculum Studies (EdD)

The Curriculum Studies (EdD) program helps you develop the knowledge, skills and experience to lead the development of impactful programs for your students. Through rich collaborative analysis and discussion, you’ll be prepared to develop curriculum at the building, community or state level, take a faculty position in higher education or become a policy leader in curriculum development at a national level.

The program offers additional options: principal preparation, superintendent or teacher leadership. All classes meet in the evenings at the Lincoln Park Campus. The program can be completed in just over three years.

PSW Opportunity

Post-Study Work visa or permit, allowing international students on F-1 visas to work in the US after completing their studies, typically through Optional Practical Training (OPT).

Eligibility:
To be eligible for OPT, students must have been enrolled full-time in a US educational institution for at least one academic year and be seeking work related to their major.

Duration:
Students can apply for up to 12 months of OPT, either before they finish their studies (pre-completion) or after graduation (post-completion).

STEM OPT:
Students in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields can apply for an extended OPT period of up to 24 months.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

A graduate applicant is a student who has completed at least a bachelor's degree or an equivalent higher education degree, and is interested in applying for a master's or a PhD program. You are considered an international graduate applicant if you have earned a bachelor’s degree outside of the U.S.

The minimum scores for direct admission are a TOEFL score of 80 (ibt) with all section scores at 17 or higher, or an IELTS score of 6.5, or a Duolingo English Test score of 115 and above, or a Pearson Test of English (PTE) score of 53. If your English proficiency scores are below the minimum requirements, you may be considered for conditional admission. Test scores are valid for two years and are official only when received directly from the testing vendor.
