LGBTQ+ Health Graduate Certificate
For many in the LGBTQ+ community, requesting care can be an uncomfortable experience – especially when lack of access, historical prejudices or gaps in knowledge can make pursuing care difficult. That’s true of everything from routine checkups to HIV+ treatment to corrective surgery. And because of this, specialized care – focused on humane and compassionate treatment – is necessary. That’s where CSUN’s Graduate Certificate in LGBTQ+ Health comes in.
This program trains current and future health practitioners and community leaders to develop and apply best practices to reduce health disparities and improve health outcomes for LGBTQ+ populations.
This subset of medicine is in high demand, and with this certificate, you can greatly expand your skillset and help transform the industry into a safer, more inclusive domain. PSW Opportunity
Post-Study Work visa or permit, allowing international students on F-1 visas to work in the US after completing their studies, typically through Optional Practical Training (OPT).
Eligibility:
To be eligible for OPT, students must have been enrolled full-time in a US educational institution for at least one academic year and be seeking work related to their major.
Duration:
Students can apply for up to 12 months of OPT, either before they finish their studies (pre-completion) or after graduation (post-completion).
STEM OPT:
Students in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields can apply for an extended OPT period of up to 24 months.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
You must first meet the following university requirements:
- Have a four-year baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited institution
- Be in good academic standing at the last college or university attended
- Have satisfied one of the following conditions:
- Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 in all undergraduate units
- Have a minimum GPA of 2.5 in the last 60 semester/90 quarter units from all post-secondary institutions
- Hold an acceptable post-baccalaureate degree earned at a regionally accredited institution and:
- Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 in all units attempted as an undergraduate, or
- Have a minimum GPA of 2.5 in the last 60 semester/90 quarter units attempted from all post-secondary institutions attended.
