Bachelor of Commerce (Tourism and Hospitality)
Tourism and hospitality play a major role in the global economy and create opportunities across many industries. In the BCom (Tourism and Hospitality) program at Curtin University Malaysia, you will build a strong understanding of tourism systems, hospitality operations, destination management and sustainable tourism development. Graduates can work in a wide range of settings, including hotels, resorts, airlines, attractions and destination organisations.
You’ll learn how to design and deliver quality visitor experiences, manage service operations effectively, respond to global tourism trends and apply strategic thinking to enhance organisational performance. The course emphasises industry relevance, ethical practice and sustainability, preparing you to navigate cultural diversity, technological change and evolving consumer expectations in the global tourism landscape.
This course is certified by the UN World Tourism Organisation, having passed the UNWTO.TedQual Certification System Audit. The certification recognises high standards in tourism education, training and research.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
FOR INDIA
- Successful completion of the Indian School Certificate (ISC) awarded by Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) with a grade average of at least 60% from the best four subjects OR
- Successful completion of the All India Senior School Certificate/ Delhi Senior School Certificate Examination awarded by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) with a grade average of 60% in the best four subjects OR
- Successful completion of the Higher Secondary School Certificate awarded by one of the recognised Higher Secondary Education Boards in India with a grade average of 65% in the best five subjects.
FOR BANGLADESH
- Bangladesh Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) with a minimum Grade Point average of 4.0
FOR NEPAL
- From 2018 – Successful completion of School Leaving Certificate Examination (Grade XI & XII) awarded by the National Examination Board with at least Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.0
OR - Prior to 2018 – Successful completion of Higher Secondary Education Board Examination (HSC) awarded by the Higher Secondary Education Board with at least 68% of the Grand Total score (i.e. 680 out of 1000)
FOR SRI LANKA
- Successful completion of Sri Lankan General Certificate of Education (GCE) Advanced Level with at least 5 points from the best three subjects (excluding General English).
