Graduate Diploma of Networking
The Graduate Diploma of Networking (GDNet) is intended for new graduates as well as experienced IT professionals who wish to update their skills or change their area of specialisation. It effectively opens up new career possibilities in the network management field ranging from network security to wireless and mobile technology.
This course of study provides a high level overview of network systems design, system administration, network security and wireless technology along with professional skills that can be applied directly in professional practice. Through the course students will gain high-level, advanced skills in networking technology to meet the demands of both small and large organisations. The GDNet aims to furnish graduates with the skills to deal with complex issues, displaying initiative and being employment-ready as networking professionals.

Melbourne Campus
Located in the centre of Melbourne Central Business District (CBD), the MIT Melbourne campus is the larger of the two campuses. Situated among shops, restaurants, banks, post offices and entertainment outlets, close to parks and gardens, hospitals, the State Library of Victoria and the Queen Victoria Market, and with easy access to public transport, the MIT Melbourne campus offers the perfect balance between study, work and play.
Sydney Campus
The MIT Sydney campus is located in Sydney’s Central Business District (CBD) next to Darling Harbour, one of the city’s largest shopping, food and entertainment precincts. Located right in the heart of the City on Sussex Street, easily accessible by train- we are a few minutes’ walk from Wynyard and Town Hall stations.

Post Study Work Steam Renames to Post Higher Education Work Steam.
- Bachelor degree holders including honours can get upto 2 years of post study stay
- Master by course work and extended (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 2 years
- Masters by research (with a duration exceeding 2 years) and PhD holder can stay upto 3 years
- The Maximum eligible age to apply for PSW will be reduced to 35 years of age from 50 years of age for all applicants
Due to the Australian Indian Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement signed by the 2 countries, according to which:
- Indian students completing bachelor degree including honours can stay upto 2 years
- Bachelor degree with First class honours in STEM including ICT can stay upto 3 years
- Masters by coursework in extended researched (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 3 years
- PhD students can stay upto 4 years
Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have completed the equivalent of a three year Australian Bachelor degree.
Mature age applicants can be considered for admission on a case-by-case basis having regard to the prior study, employment and professional experience.
Successful completion of 1-semester full-time study (0.5 EFTSL) Example: For a unit with 15 credit points, 15 divided by 120=0.125
