Employability
Employability is at the core of this course. Our vocational approach to teaching will help you develop a wide range of skills that employers are looking for. You'll have the option of an industry placement and you'll document your experience, so that it's recognised by the accrediting bodies.

Qualifications
This course will give you full exemption from the ACCA Fundamentals level, so you can work as a part-qualified accountant in public practice, industry or commerce. If you sit your exams for the ACCA Professional level (which you can sit at LSBU), you’ll be able to apply for a place on our MSc Applied Accounting course.

Your career
One of the most popular options on graduating is to go on to train as a chartered accountant. There are many different directions to pursue, specialising in financial reporting, taxation, auditing or forensic accounting. There are four main players in accountancy - Deloitte LLP, Ernst & Young, KPMG and PwC – but you’ll also find many small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) which provide plenty of opportunities on graduation, such as professional training and development.

In terms of salary, graduates entering accountancy can find starting salaries in the region of £23,000 - £24,000, with the potential for salaries to increase rapidly with further qualifications and experience. Senior chartered accountants can expect to earn up to £135,000.

• An online board where you can see a wide range of placements :part-time, full-time or voluntary. You can also drop in to see our Job Shop advisers, who are always available to help you take the next step in your search.
• Our Careers Gym offering group workshops on CVs, interview techniques and finding work experience, as well as regular presentations from employers across a range of sectors.

Our Student Enterprise team can also help you start your own business and develop valuable entrepreneurial skills.

• 2 Years PSW is applicable after completing a minimum duration of 9 months course (like- Undergraduate, Postgraduate Level)
• 3 Years PSW is applicable after completing PhD level courses.

• BTEC National Diploma DDM or:
• Access to HE qualifications with 24 Distinctions and 21 Merits or:
• AAT level 3 or:
• Equivalent Level 3 qualifications worth 122 UCAS points
• Applicants must hold 5 GCSEs A-C including Maths and English, or equivalent (reformed GCSEs grade 4 or above).
• We welcome equivalent qualifications from around the world. English language qualifications for international students: IELTS score of 6.0 or Cambridge Proficiency or Advanced Grade C.

INDIA

• Indian Standard XII: a minimum average of 55-65% or higher (depending on exam board and LSBU course applied for)
• 3 passes at GCE A-Level (required grades dependant on LSBU course applied for)
• International Baccalaureate Diploma: 24 points or higher
• Accredited UK Foundation programme: minimum 55-60% or higher
• Accredited Polytechnic/College Diploma (2 - 3 years duration) 58% or higher

NEPAL

• Nepal Higher Secondary Education Certificate: 60% or higher
• 3 passes at GCE A Level: minimum grades depend on LSBU course applied for
• International Baccalaureate Diploma: 24 points or higher
• Accredited UK Foundation programme: 55-60% or higher
• Accredited UK National Diploma: Upper or Lower Credit
• Diploma from Tribhuvan University of 3 years duration: 50% or higher

Possible advanced entry or top-up

• Accredited UK Higher National Diploma (Possible second year or top-up entry): Upper or Lower Credit

BANGLADESH

• Bangladesh Higher Secondary Certificate: 80%/CGPA 4.5/5.0 or higher
• 3 passes at GCE A-Level (required grades dependant on LSBU course applied for)
• International Baccalaureate Diploma: 24 points or higher
• Accredited UK Foundation programme: minimum 55-60% or higher
• Accredited UK National Diploma (Upper or Lower Credit)

Possible advanced entry or top-up
