BA in Visual Representation

The two necessary cornerstones of creative imagery are the skill of manual portrayal and a modern creative mentality. These two together are the indispensable basis of the digital imagery methods of our time, and the possibilities offered by new media. 
Besides traditional genres, at our department you can study the various methods of the imagery of our time, for example the storyboard – a visual script –  used in filmmaking, comics and strip cartoons, the mutual areas of fine arts and design, and the creative methods of contemporary art. 
By mastering these versatile areas and methods of imagery, you will be able to choose the most suitable visual communication language and tools to express your message. In the course, the development of manual skills, acquiring knowledge on traditional and modern technologies, and practicing creative ways of thinking all play important roles.
By developing your skills of portrayal through various art and design exercises, your teachers will help you find your independent, own style and your own voice of expression. Besides developing your manual skills, you will study basic graphics software and contemporary imagery techniques and theories; this way, your visual expression will be more varied and versatile. At our department, you will be able to make not only illustrations for a novel, but design the whole book; you can create not only an oil on canvas painting, but motion picture, interactive installations, and objects.
