Earth scientists research the specific and complex earth system, studying its composition, structure, history, material and energy flow and transformation processes, raw material and energy resources to be utilized, and values to be protected together with features and processes that may prove to be hazardous for mankind. Earth scientists aim to understand both the long-term and short-term results of global and regional natural and anthropogenic processes. The numerous applied fields of earth sciences (e.g. raw material exploration, water supply protection, volcanology, seismology, weather forecasting, alternative and renewable energy resources) fundamentally influence the quality of our everyday life, as well as technology in our civilization and our relationship with the natural environment.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
- High school certificate; entrance exam in Mathematics and Geography (written and oral).
- Certificate or proof of citizenship and/or permanent residence (e.g. passport).
- Short Resume/CV (personal details, educational background, work experience, language skills, additional skills).
- Medical Certificate.

In the case of Applicants applying to any of the Non-Medical Programs, whose first language is not English, proof of English language proficiency; having an IELTS/TOEFL language certificate is not a compulsory requirement. The applicant can prove his/her English proficiency in other ways, such as by other language certificates, good GED, SAT, ACT results. If the language of instruction during your studies for your previous degree was English, you may upload an official certificate about this fact, issued by your school/university; in this case no language exam is required. We can also conduct an online interview during your application to assess your English communication skills.

In case of non-medical applicants to foundation or undergraduate programs, the study gap cannot be longer than 4 years. In case of applicants holding the Bangladeshi or Pakistani nationality the study gap cannot be longer than 2 years.
