Bachelor of Screen Production
Excelsia is proud to be partnering with one of the world’s top film schools, Sydney Film School, to deliver the Bachelor of Screen Production.
The Bachelor of Screen Production is a 3 year full-time course. It is a third-party arrangement between Excelsia and Sydney Film School (SFS) with the program accredited and qualifications provided by Excelsia. The course is taught by Excelsia staff (of whom many are also SFS lecturers) and is subject to Excelsia’s policies and procedures.
The course is taught at both the Sydney Film School Waterloo Studios campus and Excelsia’s Macquarie Park campus. Students will need to travel between these campuses during the duration of the course but won’t normally be required to travel between the two on a given day. Travel time is approx 25mins by car and one hour by public transport.
An Excelsia Course Manager will be available at the Sydney Film School Waterloo campus to provide support to students.

Students may request a consultation with the Career Advisor to receive individualised support and information on the next steps in their desired career. The consultation develops career goals, identifies potential obstacles and provides insights into chosen industries.
Career Workshops
Career workshops provide students with skills and insight in assisting them with their job search skills, planning careers, interview techniques and how to optimise engagement with modern platforms (e.g. LinkedIn). Students in their final year of study are encouraged to participate in these workshops.
PSW Opportunity
Post Study Work Steam Renames to Post Higher Education Work Steam.
- Bachelor degree holders including honours can get upto 2 years of post study stay
- Master by course work and extended (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 2 years
- Masters by research (with a duration exceeding 2 years) and PhD holder can stay upto 3 years
- The Maximum eligible age to apply for PSW will be reduced to 35 years of age from 50 years of age for all applicants
Due to the Australian Indian Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement signed by the 2 countries, according to which:
- Indian students completing bachelor degree including honours can stay upto 2 years
- Bachelor degree with First class honours in STEM including ICT can stay upto 3 years
- Masters by coursework in extended researched (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 3 years
- PhD students can stay upto 4 years
Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
- Overseas students applying for admission to Excelsia College courses must have reached the age of 18 years by the commencement of their studies. Excelsia College will not admit overseas students who have not yet reached 18 years of age.
English Language Requirements:
- Candidates whose qualifying studies were completed in a language other than English will normally be required to demonstrate English proficiency equivalent to the overall minimum score of 6.0 (no band less than 6) in the IELTS academic test.
