On successful completion of the Graduate Diploma programme, you will be able to:

1. Articulate a consistent, coherent body of knowledge which underpins management, strategy, marketing and project management;

2. Demonstrate confidence in conceptualizing, designing and implementing strategic, marketing and project plans;

3. Demonstrate independent learning, critical thinking and an understanding of research methodology within their area of specialization;

4. Critically evaluate both their own and others’ strategic, marketing and project plans with reference to current research and within the known and accepted body of knowledge;

5. Understand a variety of business concepts, processes and procedures relevant to contemporary New Zealand business organisations;

6. Identify opportunities, solve problems and achieve business, project and management objectives;

7. Select and apply appropriate qualitative and/or quantitative research techniques for specific business projects;

8. Apply the theory of project management to a wide range of business and management settings

Level 7 (Bachelor’s degree)

• Duration: Equal to length of study (typically up to 3 years)
• Requirement: minimum 30 weeks full time study in NZ

Level 7 (Graduate Diploma)

Conditions:

• Must also hold a Bachelor’s degree (NZ or overseas)
• Duration: Up to length of study (typically 1 year)

Level 8 (Postgraduate Diploma)

• Duration: Equal to length of study, OR
• Up to 3 years in some cases (if part of higher qualification pathway)

Level 9 and 10 (Master’s degree and Doctoral degree)

• Duration: 3 years
• Condition: Must study at least 30 weeks in New Zealand

- Most eligible international students can work up to 25 hours per week during study and full-time during scheduled breaks, only if their student visa includes work rights.

- Foundation, pathway and short courses have different rules.

- Not allowed for part time students.
