Cardiovascular Sonography Technologist Diploma
You have just arrived at the hospital, ready to begin your shift. You get a call from the emergency department. A patient has just come in, and the doctor suspects they have suffered an aneurysm. In these circumstances, sonography technologist will play a vital role in diagnosis process.
Able to work in a variety of healthcare settings, a Cardiovascular Sonography Technologist is responsible for using imaging technology to help physicians diagnose cardiac as well as peripheral ailments in patients.
- Prepare yourself with hands-on training in order to play a critical role in the diagnosis process.
- Equip yourself with Echocardiography and vascular modalities.
- Learn how to take and read clear diagnostic images

You aren’t eligible for a PGWP.
> If your program was more than 8 months but less than 2 years
We may give you a PGWP that’s valid for up to the same length as your study program.
For example, if you completed a 9-month program, we may give you a work permit for up to 9 months.
> If your program was 2 years or more
We may give you a PGWP that’s valid for 3 years.
> If you completed more than 1 program
You may be able to get a PGWP that combines the length of each program.
Each of the programs you completed -
must be PGWP-eligible and at least 8 months in length
Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
Students looking to enroll in our Cardiovascular Sonography Technologist program must first meet the following prerequisites:
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma or Equivalent
OR - Mature Student Status (18 Years of age or older)
AND
- Successful Completion of Entry Assessment Test
- Successful Personal Interview.
Additionally, students need to have following prior to the start of the program:
- Clean criminal record and vulnerable sector screening checks
- Immunization record as per the program requirement
