Post Study Work Steam Renames to Post Higher Education Work Steam.

• Bachelor degree holders including honours can get upto 2 years of post study stay
• Master by course work and extended (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 2 years
• Masters by research (with a duration exceeding 2 years) and PhD holder can stay upto 3 years
• The Maximum eligible age to apply for PSW will be reduced to 35 years of age from 50 years of age for all applicants

Due to the Australian Indian Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement signed by the 2 countries, according to which:

• Indian students completing bachelor degree including honours can stay upto 2 years
• Bachelor degree with First class honours in STEM including ICT can stay upto 3 years
• Masters by coursework in extended researched (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 3 years
• PhD students can stay upto 4 years

You must have completed the equivalent of one of the following in an area related to your proposed research:

bachelor's degree with first class honours (or equivalent), 
master's degree by research, 
master's degree by coursework with an independent research component such as a thesis, dissertation or research project with a minimum overall distinction average. 
an equivalent qualification that demonstrates research experience, excellence and capability.
Applicants who do not meet these admission requirements may be issued an offer of a place in the Master of Philosophy (Engineering and IT)

Transfer from Master of Philosophy (Engineering and IT)

Outstanding candidates who successfully complete up to one year full-time or equivalent part-time of the University of Sydney's Master of Philosophy (Engineering and IT) may apply for transfer into the Doctor of Philosophy (Engineering and IT) and receive credit for work completed:

with approval from the Supervisor and School,
meeting all Higher Degree by Research progression requirements,
providing evidence that their research is of a sufficient scope and depth to sustain a doctoral thesis.

TOEFL - IBT score - A minimum result of 85 overall including a minimum result of 17 in Reading, Listening and Speaking and 19 in Writing

IELTS score - A minimum result of 6.5 overall and a minimum result of 6.0 in each band

TOEFL - PBT score -  A minimum result of 565 overall including a minimum result of 4.5 in Writing

Pearsons Test of English -  A minimum result of 61 overall and a minimum result of 54 in each band
