Deakin’s Bachelor of Artificial Intelligence will equip you with the knowledge and skills necessary to design, develop, and evolve software solutions that take advantages of the latest advances in artificial intelligence.

As an artificial intelligence specialist, you will work alongside software engineers, data scientists, application developers and business analysts, applying your specialist knowledge to ensure artificial intelligence is appropriately integrated into software solutions from a technical and human perspective.

You will gain hands-on experience in the development of software solutions and the use and development of artificial intelligence. Post Study Work Steam Renames to Post Higher Education Work Steam.

Bachelor degree holders including honours can get upto 2 years of post study stay
Master by course work and extended (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 2 years
Masters by research (with a duration exceeding 2 years) and PhD holder can stay upto 3 years
The Maximum eligible age to apply for PSW will be reduced to 35 years of age from 50 years of age for all applicants

Due to the Australian Indian Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement signed by the 2 countries, according to which:

Indian students completing bachelor degree including honours can stay upto 2 years
Bachelor degree with First class honours in STEM including ICT can stay upto 3 years
Masters by coursework in extended researched (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 3 years
PhD students can stay upto 4 years

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

India

(standard class XII) 65%

COURSE TYPE AND AQF LEVEL

Bachelor Degree (AQF Level7) (including integrated honours (AQF Level 8))

MINIMUM ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS

Senior Secondary Certificate of Education with unadjusted ATAR of at least 50 or equivalent, or
Certificate IV in a related discipline, or
Diploma in any discipline or 50% completion of Diploma in a related discipline, or
Successful completion of at least two relevant Deakin University units.

If you're currently studying Year 12, or completed Year 12 in the last two years, you will need to meet all the following criteria to be considered for admission to this degree:

Year 12 prerequisite subjects

Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 30 in English EAL (English as an Additional Language) or at least 25 in English other than EAL
ATAR

This course uses the ATAR as part of its selection consideration.

To meet the English language proficiency requirements of this course, you will need to demonstrate at least one of the following:

Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) English Units 3 and 4: Study score greater than 30 in English as an Additional Language (EAL) or greater than 25 in any other English
IELTS overall score of 6.5 (with no band score less than 6) or equivalent
