Bachelor of Psychology
This course is designed for students with a humanities or science background.
Psychology is about all of us. Our lived experiences, our feelings, thoughts, behaviours, understandings, interactions, and decisions. It’s also about the way we live with ourselves and others.
Our degree in psychology is designed for students with a humanities or science background and is a bridge to many different employment opportunities, including in mental health, human resources, child and family services, alcohol and drug counselling, rehabilitation and disability, migrant support or research and policy development. It will equip you with skills in analysing and researching behaviour and explaining interactions between people and their environment, learning from expert academics, researchers and practitioners.
This course is accredited with the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council and recognised internationally. When you graduate, you’ll have a pathway to Honours and postgraduate studies, leading to registration as a psychologist.

Post Study Work Steam Renames to Post Higher Education Work Steam.
- Bachelor degree holders including honours can get upto 2 years of post study stay
- Master by course work and extended (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 2 years
- Masters by research (with a duration exceeding 2 years) and PhD holder can stay upto 3 years
- The Maximum eligible age to apply for PSW will be reduced to 35 years of age from 50 years of age for all applicants
Due to the Australian Indian Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement signed by the 2 countries, according to which:
- Indian students completing bachelor degree including honours can stay upto 2 years
- Bachelor degree with First class honours in STEM including ICT can stay upto 3 years
- Masters by coursework in extended researched (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 3 years
- PhD students can stay upto 4 years

All applicants must meet the academic admission requirements (Band 3) for this course. The indicative or guaranteed ATAR is as published (where applicable) or academic admission requirements may be satisfied through completion of one of the following:
- AQF Cert IV;
- Successfully completed 0.25 EFTSL of study at bachelor level or higher at an Australian higher education provider (or equivalent);
- Special Tertiary Admissions Test;
- University Preparation Course;
- Indigenous University Orientation Course;
- Aboriginal Student Intake Test; or
- Experience Based Entry Scheme.
English competency requirements may be satisfied through the completion of one of the following (Band 3):
- Year 12 English ATAR/English Literature ATAR grade C or better or equivalent; Special Tertiary Admissions Test;
- IELTS Academic Overall band minimum score of 6.0 (no individual band less than 6.0);
