Career pathways
Graduates will be equipped with knowledge and technical skills in computing that can either be developed greater with further study, or used as a platform for a new career in information technologies.

Future study
If you are interested in pursuing further study, completing the Graduate Diploma in Computing with a credit average may prepare you for admission to the Master of Information Technology or Master of Information Technology Management.

• Bachelor degree holders including honours can get upto 2 years of post study stay
• Master by course work and extended (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 2 years
• Masters by research (with a duration exceeding 2 years) and PhD holder can stay upto 3 years
• The Maximum eligible age to apply for PSW will be reduced to 35 years of age from 50 years of age for all applicants

Due to the Australian Indian Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement signed by the 2 countries, according to which:

• Indian students completing bachelor degree including honours can stay upto 2 years
• Bachelor degree with First class honours in STEM including ICT can stay upto 3 years
• Masters by coursework in extended researched (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 3 years
• PhD students can stay upto 4 years

To be eligible for admission, an applicant is required to have:

• an Australian bachelor’s degree with a credit average (65 percent) in a quantitative* discipline or equivalent qualification or

• an Australian bachelor's degree (with honours) or equivalent qualification

*A quantitative discipline includes data science, computer science, mathematics, statistics, engineering, physics, economics, finance or other disciplines that are deemed equivalent. As a guideline, the curriculum of a quantitative discipline should include some study of mathematics or statistics at the tertiary level.

For qualifications awarded outside Australia, equivalencies and entry requirements are determined based on the country, institution and qualification.

TOEFL - IBT score - A minimum result of 85 overall including a minimum result of 17 in Reading, Listening and Speaking and 19 in Writing

IELTS score - A minimum result of 6.5 overall and a minimum result of 6.0 in each band

TOEFL - PBT score - A minimum result of 565 overall including a minimum result of 4.5 in Writing

Pearsons Test of English - A minimum result of 61 overall and a minimum result of 54 in each band
