B.A Honours ENGLISH LANGUAGE AND GLOBAL COMMUNICATION
Our English Language and Global Communication BA develops your understanding of the English language and the complexities of global communication in order to help you thrive in a professional global context.
You'll achieve a thorough knowledge of culture through comparative, cross-cultural and interdisciplinary approaches and via the analysis of the forms and practices of cultural transmission. You'll develop the linguistic resources, strategies and intercultural awareness and flexibility essential for effective communication in global professional environments.
Our combination of disciplinary and interdisciplinary learning will ensure that you graduate with an array of important transferable skills including cultural insight, the ability to evaluate and apply theory, undertake research and utilise creative and precise analytic capabilities. Engagement in small research projects and the associated ethical issues ensures that you'll have experience of considering and complying with ethical requirements.
Between Years 2 and 3, you'll have the opportunity to study for a year abroad at one of our partner institutions, giving you the valuable experience of participating in the academic and cultural life of another country.
Our focused development of your employability through career workshops, placements and internships will equip you to choose from a wide range of jobs or further training.
Campus Information
Regent Campus
Our Regent Campus comprises three sites in central London, all within a few minutes' walk of Oxford Street 309 Regent Street 鈥� subjects taught at this site include English and Creative Writing, Languages, and History. Little Titchfield Street 鈥� our Law courses are taught here. Wells Street 鈥� Criminology and Sociology, and Politics and International Relations are taught here.

- 2 Years PSW is applicable after completing a minimum duration of 9 months course (like- Undergraduate, Postgraduate Level)
- 3 Years PSW is applicable after completing PhD level courses.
Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
We have included typical entry requirements below, but these are simply a guideline. Some courses may also have a specific subject or grade requirements, which will be listed on individual course pages.
For entry into Year 1 of Bachelor's degrees (Level 4), you will typically need to have one of the following:
- HSC XII: CBSE, ICSE, Kolkata, or Tamil Nadu boards with an overall average of 70% or above*
- HSC XII: West Bengal board with an overall average of 58% or above*
- HSC XII: Maharashtra or Gujarat boards with an overall average of 75% or above*
- HSC XII: All other state boards with an overall average of 80%+ or above*
- a recognized International Foundation course from a UK institution or an Indian institution following a validated UK syllabus. Entry requirements vary but we normally ask for between 60% and 65%
For consideration for entry into Year 2 of Bachelor's degrees (Level 5) you will typically need to have the following:
- UK Higher National Diploma (HND) with Distinctions and Merits
