MA Education
Whether you work in a school, hospital, for a local authority, or in another field where teaching is part of your role, this course will significantly develop your knowledge of current research, policy, and practice in education.
You will examine the influences that have shaped modern education, from the philosophy behind teaching methods to government policies that direct educational practice across a variety of settings, both inside and outside the classroom. We will give you a strong grounding in these areas, allowing you to gain a greater understanding of how people learn and of how to teach and assess effectively.
You will relate your learning to your own experiences and you will be able to tailor the course to your career needs and interests by selecting from a range of option modules. Offered as Pathway modules, you could choose to specialize in one of two areas: Inclusion & Special Education; Leadership & Management. You will also have the opportunity to study an option module from one of our other master's courses.

Our Headingley Campus is situated just outside of the city centre in the picturesque suburbs and is easily accessible by public transport with regular direct buses into the city. Headingley is an extremely popular student area. It has its own vibrant community with bars, shops and restaurants for you to enjoy. Our beautiful campus is full of green spaces, wildlife and historical buildings. It鈥檚 a wonderful contrast from the modern city campus, which is ideal as when you join us you will have the opportunity to enjoy both.

PSW Opportunity
- 2 Years PSW is applicable after completing a minimum duration of 9 months course (like- Undergraduate, Postgraduate Level)

Applicants should either have at least a second class honours degree or have equivalent experience or training, normally from within the work environment. All applications should be supported by a reference
