Business Management with Finance and Placement Year BSc(Hons)

Our four-year Business Management with Finance and Placement Year BSc(Hons) gives you the opportunity to graduate with a year’s paid work experience in industry.

This course provides a foundation in business and management, develops your practical and personal skills and prepares you for careers in the financial and broader business sector.

All of our business degrees share the same first year, offering you the flexibility to change your final degree title. At the end of your first year you can choose to continue with a Business Management with Finance and Placement Year BSc(Hons), or choose one of the other specialisms:

Business Management with Economics BSc(Hons)
Business Management with Human Resource Management BSc(Hons)
Business Management with Marketing BSc(Hons).

Campus Information

Moulsecoomb campus

Two miles north of Brighton city centre and the seafront, Moulsecoomb is the largest of our four campuses with more than 8,000 students. Moulsecoomb Place is home to more than 160 students, while others live in nearby Varley Park. There are a number of areas of Brighton that are popular with students, just a short walk, cycle or bus ride away. These include Moulsecoomb, Bevendean, Hollingbury, Elm Grove, Hanover and other suburbs that stretch up the hills on either side of the Lewes Road.

PSW Opportunity

2 Years PSW is applicable after completing a minimum duration of 9 months course (like- Undergraduate, Postgraduate Level)
3 Years PSW is applicable after completing PhD level courses.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

For India

We require a Higher Secondary School Certificate/Standard XII with an overall average of 60–65% to include a minimum of five subjects at 40% or higher.

Students with relevant diplomas and HNDs may be considered for advanced entry on a case-by-case basis, subject to admissions assessment.

English language requirements
IELTS 6.0 overall with a minimum of 5.5 in each element. Find out more about the other English qualifications that we accept.

Don’t meet these entry requirements?
Our Accounting, Finance and Economics BSc(Hons) with integrated foundation year provides an extra year of study at foundation level if you do not have the academic qualifications or experience needed for entry to this course.

Successful completion of the foundation year enables you to progress onto year 1 of this degree.
