Electrical and Electronic Engineering MEng
This integrated qualification gives you the opportunity to study electrical and electronic engineering to masters level. Our accredited course develops your technical understanding, management and leadership skills preparing you to become a skilled professional.
Learning with a team with an international research reputation you’ll take part in projects arising from and contributing to this research and explore the theory, design and application of electronic systems. Areas of research interest include computer-aided engineering, high voltage theory and applications, power systems, and analogue and power electronics.
Working with other engineering specialists on creative, industry-related projects, and the chance to join the Brighton Formula Student team, gives you an experience that mirrors industry. Placements and guest lectures from industry provide professional insight and networking opportunities.

Moulsecoomb campus
Two miles north of Brighton city centre and the seafront, Moulsecoomb is the largest of our four campuses with more than 8,000 students. Moulsecoomb Place is home to more than 160 students, while others live in nearby Varley Park. There are a number of areas of Brighton that are popular with students, just a short walk, cycle or bus ride away. These include Moulsecoomb, Bevendean, Hollingbury, Elm Grove, Hanover and other suburbs that stretch up the hills on either side of the Lewes Road.

PSW Opportunity
- 2 Years PSW is applicable after completing a minimum duration of 9 months course (like- Undergraduate, Postgraduate Level)
- 3 Years PSW is applicable after completing PhD level courses.
Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
A-levels or BTEC
Entry requirements are in the range of A-level BBB–BCC (120–104 UCAS Tariff points, or BTEC Extended Diploma DDM–DMM. Our conditional offers typically fall within this range.
A-levels must include maths at grade C and a physical science. BTEC must include merit in further maths for engineering techs.
International Baccalaureate
26 points, with three subjects at Higher level. Higher level subjects must include maths and physics at grade 5.
Foundation course
Recognised foundation course containing maths and physical science.
Access to HE Diploma
Access courses not accepted.
GCSE (minimum grade C or grade 4)
At least five GCSEs, subjects must include English language, maths and a science.
Foundation degree/HND
Direct to year 2 for suitable applicants.
Studied before or got relevant experience?
A qualification, HE credits or relevant experience may count towards your course at Brighton, and could mean that you do not have to take some elements of the course or can start in year 2 or 3.
English language requirements
