Master of Clinical Psychology

The Master of Clinical Psychology is a professional qualification for those who wish to practice as a Clinical Psychologist. With expert supervision in our Psychology clinic and local health care and community settings, the course will give you the skills to work in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of a wide range of psychological disorders.

You will enhance your conceptual and interpersonal skills and apply advanced knowledge, principles and methods to relevant procedures, technologies and techniques in the professional practice of Clinical Psychology. You will work collaboratively and effectively with a diverse range of clients and other health professionals, and be able to conduct, evaluate and present systematic research relevant to Clinical Psychology.

Graduates will be knowledgeable, skilled and ethical practitioners of Clinical Psychology and capable of adhering to the 'scientist-practitioner' model of practice.

  • Bachelor degree holders including honours can get upto 2 years of post study stay
  • Master by course work and extended (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 2 years
  • Masters by research (with a duration exceeding 2 years) and PhD holder can stay upto 3 years
  • The Maximum eligible age to apply for PSW will be reduced to 35 years of age from 50 years of age for all applicants

Due to the Australian Indian Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement signed by the 2 countries, according to which:

  • Indian students completing bachelor degree including honours can stay upto 2 years
  • Bachelor degree with First class honours in STEM including ICT can stay upto 3 years
  • Masters by coursework in extended researched (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 3 years
  • PhD students can stay upto 4 years

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

Postgraduate Admissions: Students are required to have a completed bachelor degree in a relevant discipline.

Gap year Admissions: Students are required to submit a completed high school transcript to be assessed on a case by case basis.
