Bachelor of Music
The ANU Bachelor of Music nurtures outstanding musical artistry through the intersection of performance, composition, and recording. Our program fosters artistry through offering a diversity of musical experiences in an environment that encourages excellence, passion and entrepreneurship. It provides students with a unique 21st Century musical experience which includes the opportunity to explore integrated skills in music performance, composition and recording music practice, while specialising in Music Practice or Contemporary Music Production. Students have the opportunity to experiment and explore their own musical identity and practice. Our program supports students in preparing for dynamic and multifaceted successful careers as music professionals and outstanding contributors to the local, national, and global community, as musically-informed citizens and leaders.

Acton campus
Our Acton campus is in the heart of Canberra - Australia's capital city - in the Australian Capital Territory (ACT). From here it's an easy walk, bike ride or drive to some of Australia's most significant political and cultural institutions including Australian Parliament House. Amongst our modern lecture halls, libraries, laboratories, student residences and administration buildings, you'll find all the conveniences of a small suburb including cafes, bars, supermarkets, child care centres, a newsagency, post office and even a medical centre.

PSW Opportunity
Post Study Work Steam Renames to Post Higher Education Work Steam.
- Bachelor degree holders including honours can get upto 2 years of post study stay
- Master by course work and extended (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 2 years
- Masters by research (with a duration exceeding 2 years) and PhD holder can stay upto 3 years
- The Maximum eligible age to apply for PSW will be reduced to 35 years of age from 50 years of age for all applicants
Due to the Australian Indian Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement signed by the 2 countries, according to which:
- Indian students completing bachelor degree including honours can stay upto 2 years
- Bachelor degree with First class honours in STEM including ICT can stay upto 3 years
- Masters by coursework in extended researched (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 3 years
- PhD students can stay upto 4 years
Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants who complete a recognised secondary/senior secondary/post-secondary/tertiary sequence of study will be assessed on the basis of an equivalent selection rank that is calculated upon application.
