Academic English Program (AEP) 鈥� University Preparation
Designed to ensure you succeed in a tertiary study environment, our Academic English Program (AEP) course will develop your confidence & competence in key study skills in an academic context.
On completion of all AEP course requirements you are eligible for direct entry at either an undergraduate or postgraduate level with no IELTS required at any of our University partners.
This course is designed for students who:
would like to study at either an undergraduate or postgraduate level in a Western Australia university
would like a flexible entry Academic English Program
have not met university English language entry conditions
do not want to sit an IELTS exam
Course components include:
Academic skills (Speaking, Listening, Reading, Writing)
Using technology to communicate in an academic context
Participation in tutorial discussions to develop collaborative learning skills
Conducting research for academic purposes using libraries and the internet
Oral presentation skills in an academic context.
Successful completion of the English for Academic Purposes course meets English Language requirements in order for Australian universities to consider the student for placement in their undergraduate or postgraduate courses.

PSW Opportunity
Post Study Work Steam Renames to Post Higher Education Work Steam.
- Bachelor degree holders including honours can get upto 2 years of post study stay
- Master by course work and extended (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 2 years
- Masters by research (with a duration exceeding 2 years) and PhD holder can stay upto 3 years
- The Maximum eligible age to apply for PSW will be reduced to 35 years of age from 50 years of age for all applicants
Due to the Australian Indian Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement signed by the 2 countries, according to which:
- Indian students completing bachelor degree including honours can stay upto 2 years
- Bachelor degree with First class honours in STEM including ICT can stay upto 3 years
- Masters by coursework in extended researched (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 3 years
- PhD students can stay upto 4 years

- CEFR B2; IELTS 5.5 or equivalent + Year 12
