Bond is the only university in Queensland, and one of only seven in Australia, to offer the fully accredited Actuarial Science program by the Actuaries Institute, in addition to recognition agreements with the Society of Actuaries worldwide.The Bachelor of Actuarial Science is an innovative and immersive program that combines elements of economics, finance, statistics, data analytics and advanced mathematics to develop techniques for the management of risk and business decision making. The Bachelor of Actuarial Science is taught via smaller classes for personalised attention and unparalleled access to Bond University's Macquarie Trading Room and Bloomberg data-sourcing terminals. The program develops students’ skills in the challenge of crunching 'big data' numbers to create practical solutions for real world problems. Employment opportunities include working as an investment analyst, portfolio manager, actuarial consultant, insurance actuary, superannuation actuary, risk analyst, big data analyst, liability manager and high level manager. Successful completion of the program can lead to Part I qualification with the Actuaries Institute

PSW Opportunity
Post Study Work Steam Renames to Post Higher Education Work Steam.
- Bachelor degree holders including honours can get upto 2 years of post study stay
- Master by course work and extended (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 2 years
- Masters by research (with a duration exceeding 2 years) and PhD holder can stay upto 3 years
- The Maximum eligible age to apply for PSW will be reduced to 35 years of age from 50 years of age for all applicants
Due to the Australian Indian Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement signed by the 2 countries, according to which:
- Indian students completing bachelor degree including honours can stay upto 2 years
- Bachelor degree with First class honours in STEM including ICT can stay upto 3 years
- Masters by coursework in extended researched (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 3 years
- PhD students can stay upto 4 years
Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
FOR INDIA
All Indian Secondary School Certificate (AISSC) or Indian School Certificate (ISC) - minimum 74% average in the best four subjects.
Minimum 74% average in the best four subjects for the following State Board Secondary Education exit awards:
- Intermediate Certificate from the Andhra Pradesh Board of Intermediate Education
- Pre University Certificate from the Karnataka Board of Pre-University Education
- Higher Secondary certificate form the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education
- Higher Secondary certificate from the Tamil Nadu Board of Higher Secondary Education
- Intermediate Certificate from the Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education
- Bond University imposes a minimum age requirement of 17 years.
English Language Requirements :
- International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Academic Overall score 6.5 with no sub score less than 6.0
- Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic Overall score 58 with no Communicative Scores below 50
- Test of English as a Foreign Language Internet-Based Test (TOEFL iBT) Overall score 79 (no scores below 21 in Writing, 18 in Speaking, and 16 in Reading and Listening)
