The University of Toledo

Toledo, Ohio, United States

BACHELOR OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (B.B.A.) in INFORMATION SYSTEMS

"A strong business student with an aptitude for technology" — that’s what employers are looking for in an IS professional. And that is what they find in graduates of The University of Toledo’s information systems program.

Information systems is first and foremost a business degree. It prepares graduates to align the application of information technology to the strategic and operational needs of a business.

Our IS students gain solid foundations in business from one of the nation’s best business colleges. They also become tech-savvy professionals through hands-on experiences with the latest technologies.

UToledo stays on top of current trends. Our curriculum is cutting-edge and relevant, thanks to faculty research, professional engagements and industry partnerships. We’re offering two new IS minors in “hot” areas of the field: business information security and enterprise resource planning.

Managing information and processes are at the heart of every successful organization.

IS professionals serve as the bridge between functional areas of business and the team providing technology solutions. They are astute and creative problem-solvers who operate as internal consultants to an organization.

Among their duties, IS professionals:

Analyze and design ways to improve efficiency and productivity
Improve decision-making
Ensure regulatory compliance
Safeguard information
Deliver competitive advantages
