Citrus College聽is a聽community college聽located in the Los Angeles suburb of聽Glendora, California. The Citrus Community College District which supports the school includes the communities of Glendora,聽Azusa,聽Charter Oak,聽Claremont,聽Monrovia, and聽Duarte. The school is the oldest public community college in聽Los Angeles County, California; it was founded in 1915 by educator聽Floyd S. Hayden. Until 1961 the school was operated by the Citrus Union High School District and served the local area as both a high school and college. As of 2006, Citrus College enrolls over 12,000 students.
