As an aspiring Middle Level teacher, you will play an important role in shaping your middle school students' academic and personal development. From leading lively class discussions to organizing fun group activities and hands-on learning experiences, you'll create an environment where they can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Our Leading Teacher Program in Middle Grades Education (4-8) is designed to equip you with the skills and strategies to create an inspiring and supportive learning environment in your classroom in Pennsylvania or in many other states. You'll gain a deep understanding of adolescent development and effective teaching strategies, preparing you to teach across subject areas in Grades 4-6 and specialize in one of three concentration options, or a dual concentration option:
English/Language Arts in Grades 7-8
Mathematics in Grades 7-8
Science in Grades 7-8
Dual concentration with certification in Mathematics (Grades 7-8) and English/Language Arts in Grades 7-8

PSW Opportunity
Post-Study Work visa or permit, allowing international students on F-1 visas to work in the US after completing their studies, typically through Optional Practical Training (OPT).
Eligibility:
To be eligible for OPT, students must have been enrolled full-time in a US educational institution for at least one academic year and be seeking work related to their major.
Duration:
Students can apply for up to 12 months of OPT, either before they finish their studies (pre-completion) or after graduation (post-completion).
STEM OPT:
Students in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields can apply for an extended OPT period of up to 24 months.

You are required to send all of your university transcripts (grade reports) with your application. Each program evaluates your university performance differently, but most will require that you submit a GRE or GMAT score and a TOEFL score in some cases.
Students with the following minimum scores will begin full-time academic study upon arrival:
