TESOL and Younger Learners (Top-up) BA(Hons)

This course is primarily aimed at international students looking to progress into a career teaching children and young learners English as a second or foreign language.

Why TESOL and Younger Learners?
This course gives you the opportunity to develop your theoretical knowledge and practical skills to help ensure you’ve got the confidence essential for planning and teaching English to speakers of other languages.
We'll help you develop your understanding of different learning cultures, language acquisition and how to apply this to your own classroom practice.

Campus Information

Queensgate

The university's main campus, Queensgate, is south-east of Huddersfield town centre. Virtually all of the university's teaching takes place on the site. The campus is split in two by the Huddersfield Narrow Canal. It features a mixture of converted mill buildings, and purpose-built facilities

PSW Opportunity

2 Years PSW is applicable after completing a minimum duration of 9 months course (like- Undergraduate, Postgraduate Level)
3 Years PSW is applicable after completing PhD level courses.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

Entry requirements for this course are normally one of the following:

HND or equivalent
Foundation degree or 120 ECTS
Successful completion of two years higher education with 120 ECTS credits (or equivalent).
If your first language is not English, you will need to meet the minimum requirements of an English Language qualification. The minimum for IELTS is 6.0 overall with no element lower than 5.5, or equivalent will be considered acceptable.
